We Stand By Coffee-Growing Countries

Ahh, the glory days of West Africa’s Côte d’Ivoire, when its full-bodied robusta coffee was enjoyed all around the world, savored in stylish French cafés and sipped throughout bustling Moroccan souks.

Sadly, civil war and poverty have caused Ivorian coffee production to decline in recent decades. Farmers haven’t been able to adopt the latest coffee growing technology that help modern farms thrive. As a result, the West African coffee industry was in danger.

But we never give up on a coffee-growing region. Since 2012, we’ve been working with Rainforest Alliance and the next generation of Ivorian farmers to kickstart the Côte’s big comeback. We’ve provided them with new, even more robust coffee varieties to grow, and helped them renovate their existing trees to keep them thriving.

Our coffee is sometimes grown in harsh, impoverished regions, but we always stick with it to support our partner farmers. That's why we invest back into the communities by keeping things local. Our factory is in the Côte d’Ivoire, our team is Ivorian... and the farmers are our best customers!

So the next time you make a cup of NESCAFÉ, savor that robust flavor with a smile. You’re helping keep coffee alive in the Côte d’Ivoire and many other places.
