Did you know your delicious cup of NESCAFÉ contains coffee sustainably sourced in West Africa? We work directly with over 20,000 farmers and have distributed up to 9 million plantlets to improve coffee crops and farmers’ incomes. With every cup of NESCAFÉ, you are making a difference!

We are not only passionate about promoting sustainable coffee farming practices, but also about supporting the farmers who grow our coffee.

We believe that respecting the planet begins with respecting the people who work the land. That's why we're committed to sourcing our coffee responsibly, using sustainable farming methods, and working with farmers to improve their livelihoods.

    We now have 300 NESCAFÉ coffee-growing experts working with farmers in 15 countries, offering training in business and advanced agriculture skills. Since 2010 we have helped train more than 700,000 farmers.

    Our experts are teaching farmers how to diversify their income by growing different crops alongside coffee trees. Gaining these new business skills allows farmers to better manage their farms and improve their livelihoods.

    Coffee farming as a way of life, is something we want to keep alive. So, we’re supporting local farming communities and inspiring a new generation to become coffee farmers, with empowerment and upskilling programs.

    We now have eight new and improved varieties of coffee plants, which are more productive and resilient to threatening diseases, like leaf rust.

    We’re Putting Less Water In Our Coffee

    We know that water is a precious resource, especially in areas where coffee is grown, and we want to ensure that our coffee farming practices don't come at the expense of local communities. That's why our experts work closely with farmers to teach them how to grow high-quality coffee using less water. By doing this, we can make more water available for communities and the environment.

    We're proud to say that we've put our innovative minds to the test to help coffee farmers get creative with how they use valuable H2O. We understand that our coffee plants need water to grow, but we don't want to waste this valuable resource. It's all part of our commitment to ensuring that when we make our coffee, it never leaves anyone else thirsty.

    At NESCAFÉ, we're committed to sustainability and reducing our impact on the planet. We aim to save water, reduce carbon emissions, and tackle climate change through sustainable practices in our coffee production. We believe that agricultural biodiversity is key to coffee farming. By encouraging more tree variety, we're supporting wildlife and promoting healthy ecosystems. Sustainability is also good for farmers, as it can diversify their income and protect them from market fluctuations.
