Grown Respectfully

Savour the flavour of better grown beans

NESCAFÉ’s responsible sourcing journey starts with the men and women who grow our coffee beans. They’re our coffee heroes, and we’re proud to call them our partner farmers. Our experts visit their farms to pass on innovative sustainable agricultural practices to ensure the future of coffee, helping them earn more, stay healthier and work more in tune with nature. After all, the more naturally and respectfully our coffee is grown, the better it’s going to taste in your cup.

Happy coffee growers and farmers

MENA targets and ambitions

Responsible sourcing: Securing the future of coffee by sourcing respectfully and understanding how it is grown. Our responsibly sourced coffee is certified through established and internationally recognised partners: 4C, Rainforest Alliance and UTZ.

Tackling climate change: Coffee farming for a better planet for all future generations. We are actively protecting water in countries like Vietnam, where practices include systematic irrigation. The NESCAFÉ Plan enables farmers to maintain the same high yield whilst using 30-40% less water.

Improving livelihoods: Improving farmers’ livelihoods and resilience. The NESCAFÉ Plan upskills farmers with business knowledge and diversification; we have reached a cumulative number of more than 700,000 farmer trainings.

Learn more about how our coffee is Grown Respectfully

  • Coffee’s in our blood

We’ve been working with Mexican coffee farmers for a long time – sometimes we’re partnering with the grandchildren of the first farmers we helped.

  • We’re spicing up coffee farming!

Sometimes we advise our farmers to plant crops other than coffee! Like avocados, chillis and nuts. Agricultural biodiversity is good for the land, and it’s good for our partner farmers.

  • Enjoy more at 80ºC

Did you know that 100% NESCAFÉ flavour doesn’t need 100ºC boiling water? And if you use less heat, you’ll save a whole lot of energy too.
