Roasted Almond Coffee

This is a recipe for those who love almonds (and coffee!). It’s deliciously toasty!

Ingredients

  • 2 tsps (4g) of NESCAFÉ Gold
  • 170ml of almond milk. (For better results look for a Barista edition)
  • ½ tsp of almond or vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp (4g) sliced almonds
  • Sweetener (optional)

Create It!

STEP ONE

Mix 2 teaspoons (4g) of NESCAFÉ Gold with two tablespoons (30ml) of hot water (~80°C, just wait for the small bubbles to appear. No need to boil so you can save on energy).

STEP TWO

Heat some sliced almonds in a saucepan at medium heat for no more than 45 seconds to roast the almonds and let the smell flow. Don’t let them burn.

STEP THREE

Heat 170ml of almond milk until hot to the touch, but not simmering (aim for 65-70°C). Pour in a jug, add half a teaspoon of almond (or vanilla) extract. Sweeten, if desired.

STEP FOUR

Whisk the mix for a minute until frothy. Preferably, use an electric whisk.

STEP FIVE

Pour the frothy almond milk into the cup, carefully leaving the foam on top. Top with the roasted almond slices and serve.
