Place the dates in a bowl and cover with warm water. Soak for 20 minutes, or
until softened. Drain well, remove the pits, and transfer the dates to a food
processor.

Add 12 tablespoons water and pulse until a thick, smooth paste forms.

Transfer the date paste to a mixing bowl. Add the cocoa powder, crushed
nuts. Mix thoroughly until evenly combined.

Place the date mixture on top and shape into a log, rolling gently to coat
evenly with sesame seeds. Lightly dampen hands if needed to prevent
sticking.

Wrap the roll tightly in plastic wrap, then in foil. Freeze for at least 2 hours until
firm.
