NESCAFÉ’s responsible sourcing journey starts with the men and women who grow our coffee beans.
We’re respecting the planet by working to make all our coffee production more sustainable.
When we put so much respect into our coffee, it’s only natural that we’ll care just as much about what we sell it in.
What is the caffeine content of NESCAFÉ Gold?
NESCAFÉ Gold contains between 50mg and 90 mg per 2g serve.
Are NESCAFÉ Gold jars recyclable?
All our NESCAFÉ Gold coffee jars and lids are recyclable. Simply pop the lid along with the jar in your kerbside recycling bin. The foil seal however is too small to be recycled and should be disposed of in your rubbish bin. If you collect pieces of foil and scrunch them together into the size of a golf ball or bigger, then this too can be recycled.
You'll also be pleased to hear our glass jars are made from at least 32% recycled glass material.
How many serves are in a jar of coffee?
A standard serve of coffee is approximatley 1.7g so in a 1000g har there will be roughly 58 serves, in a 250g jar it's about 147 serves. Ou 1.7g standard serve of coffee for a cup is based on adding 170ml of water.
Why does it say on your coffee products “best enjoyed within 4-6 weeks of opening”?
Once coffee has been opened and exposed to the environment the quality can slowly deteriorate. Coffee can lose its freshness, and, if coffee absorbs moisture, it can clump together making it undrinkable.
Therefore, once opened, always store coffee in a cool, dry environment and it’s best to use within 4 to 6 weeks so that you get the best tasting cup of coffee!
