Planting millions of trees

Supported by Nestlé Global Reforestation Program, more than 13 million native trees in and around coffee farms have been planted since 2022, aiming to improve soil health and support biodiversity.
Nestlé’s Global Reforestation Program implements reforestation projects in our supply chain and sourcing landscapes. Details on the program can be found here: Our work on forests | Nestlé Global.

Working with farmers

We have supported rapid acceleration of regenerative agriculture practices in our supply chains through the work of our 1,600+ field staff – including agronomists. In 2025, across the globe, over 100,000+ farmers have been trained on various topics, including measuring and improving soil health and managing organic matter.

Sourcing coffee responsibly

At NESCAFÉ®, we work hard to source coffee responsibly.

This means that coffee lots are traceable to the first aggregation entity forming the farmer units where the coffee was grown, and are independently certified or verified as produced in accordance with environmental and social sustainability standards validated as equivalent to our Nestlé Responsible Sourcing Core Requirements Nestlé Responsible Sourcing Core Requirements. Environmental standards address matters such as soil health and fertility, water resource management, biodiversity conservation, and the responsible use of agrochemicals. Social standards address matters such as human rights and child protection, workers' rights and fair labour conditions, women and youth empowerment, and support for farmer livelihoods. Our Reporting Scope and Methodology for ESG Key Performance Indicators document provides details and can be found here. Learn more.
