Creamy Caramel Latte

Sometimes you want coffee, sometimes you want something sweet. Here’s a solution for when you want both. A Creamy Caramel Decaf Latte, in just 5 simple steps.

 

Prep: 5 minutes.

What you need

  • 1-2 tsps (2-4g) instant decaf coffee
  • 30ml (2 tbsps) very hot water (~80°C)
  • 2 tsps (10ml) sugar free caramel syrup, maple syrup or data syrup
  • 170ml semi-skimmed milk
  • Required equipment
  • Milk frother
  • Mug, to serve

Creamy Caramel Latte Recipe Step 1
STEP ONE

Mix the instant coffee with two tablespoons (30ml) of very hot water (~80°C, just wait for the small bubbles to appear. No need to boil so you can save on energy).

STEP TWO

Heat 170ml of milk until hot to the touch, but not simmering (aim for 65-70°C). Add 2 teaspoons (10ml) of sugar free caramel, maple or date syrup in a milk jar and stir.

STEP THREE

Whisk the caramel-infused milk until frothy. Preferably, use an electric whisk.

STEP FOUR

Pour the foamy milk into the coffee cup.

STEP FIVE

Decorate with sugar free caramel, maple or data syrup.
