Mocha is a coffee beverage with a distinctive chocolate taste, commonly enjoyed warm on cold winter days. However, being in Malaysia means we can’t sit by the fireplace and sip on hot mocha on a cold winter day, but we can bring the simple joys of winter into our tropical households.
For those who like their coffee bittersweet, this white chocolate mocha recipe will be an irresistible treat! Enjoy a barista-style beverage that combines the robust flavours of NESCAFÉ Gold, creamy milk and melted white chocolate. Sweet, frothy and creamy — this white chocolate mocha recipe can be served hot or chilled, perfect for any weather.
To make your drink extra creamy and sweet, top your drink with whipped cream and white chocolate shavings — just like snowflakes falling on top of a blanket of snow!
Mix 2 teaspoons (4g) of NESCAFÉ Gold with two tablespoons (30ml) of hot water (~80°C, there is no need to boil it so you can save on energy!). Just wait for small bubbles to appear in the mixture and stir the coffee well.
STEP TWO
Mix 160ml of milk and 6 white chocolate squares in a saucepan. Heat up until it is hot to the touch, but not simmering (aim for a temperature of 65-70°C).
STEP THREE
Whisk the chocolate mixture for a minute until it turns frothy. Preferably, use an electric whisk.
STEP FOUR
Pour the chocolatey foam into the coffee mixture.
STET FIVE
Top the finished drink with whipped cream for extra sweetness and creaminess.
STEP SIX
Add some white chocolate shavings or any toppings you prefer (optional).
