- ●3 disks (3.1 ounces each) Mexican chocolate, chopped (see notes)
- ●3 cups milk
- ●1/4 cup NESCAFÉ® CLÁSICO™ Dark Roast 100% Pure Instant Coffee Granules
- ●6 cinnamon sticks, plus more for serving
- ●4 thick shaves orange peel (use a vegetable peeler), plus more for serving
- ●2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
- ●2/3 cup gold tequila
- ●About 1 cup whipped cream
Make It
Step 1
Combine milk, chocolate, coffee granules, cinnamon, orange peel, and sugar in a medium saucepan. Heat over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until chocolate, coffee, and sugar dissolve and mixture comes to a simmer. Cover; set aside to steep 5 minutes.
Step 2
Stir in tequila; strain into mugs.
Step 3
Top with whipped cream and additional cinnamon sticks and orange peel.
Step 4
Notes: Look for Mexican chocolate in the Latin or international section of your supermarket. If you can’t find it, substitute 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips.
Step 5
If you’d prefer a non-alcoholic cocktail, omit the tequila (or let guests add their own).
