We're Putting Less Water Into Our Coffee

Our coffee plants need a good supply of water to grow, but we don’t want it to be at the expense of the local community. Since our coffee is often grown in places where water is scarce, we’ve put our innovative minds to the test to help coffee farmers get creative with how they use valuable H2O. It’s part of our commitment to ensure that when we make our coffee, it never leaves anyone else thirsty.

In Vietnam, we have proven that quality coffee can be grown using less irrigation water. If all Vietnamese farmers adopted this practice, it could dramatically improve water conservation.

But it doesn't stop there. We’ve also developed a free weather forecasting app that’s tailored to each farmer’s area. The app tells them the best time to irrigate their crops and when to cut back for the benefit of the community.

In our factories, which are often near the communities where we grow the coffee, we are committed to conserving this valuable natural resource and have reduced the water put into each cup by improving efficiency over time.

Every time you drink a cup of NESCAFÉ, you’ll taste how important coffee is to us. But it’s never as important as fresh water for everyone else.

Roll Out The Green Carpet

Our Brazilian farming partners are reducing their need for artificial herbicides by 'microshading.' Natural farming means naturally delicious coffee.

We're Steaming Ahead

Our efficient factories burn waste coffee grounds to make steam that makes our granules. It's all apart of reducing our carbon emissions.

Seconds To Make, 15 Years To Breed

We're committed to breeding better, climate-resistant coffee trees which produce even more flavorful beans.

Recycling Made Easier

We care about how we package our coffee just as much as the coffee itself. That's why we're making our jars and packs easier to recycle.
