This brown sugar iced latte is a cafe-style iced coffee drink you can make at home with instant coffee, no espresso machine is needed. Instant coffee dissolved in a small amount of hot water creates a strong, espresso-style coffee concentrate. The concentrate is sweetened with brown sugar syrup, poured over ice and cold milk, and topped with cold foam. The whole thing takes about five minutes. To make a brown sugar iced latte with cold foam using instant coffee, dissolve 1 to 2 teaspoons of instant coffee in 2 tablespoons of hot water to create a concentrated coffee base. Stir in brown sugar syrup, pour over ice and cold milk, and finish with a layer of cold foam. The result is a smooth, sweetened iced latte with a caramel-like flavor and a smooth foam topping. Dissolving the instant coffee in hot water first prevents clumping and produces a smooth drink, even though the milk and ice are cold. Brown sugar syrup adds a molasses-like sweetness that pairs well with coffee, and the cold foam gives the drink a layered, coffeehouse appearance and texture.

Step 1

Make the brown sugar syrup: In a small pot, combine the brown sugar water. Heat the mixture over medium heat until it starts to simmer. Let the syrup cool completely, then store it in an airtight container.

Step 2

Add the milk and Espresso Concentrate: Mix 4 Tbsp of NESCAFÉ Espresso Concentrate and 10 oz of milk into a glass with ice.

Step 3

Add the syrup: Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of the brown sugar syrup to the espresso and stir.

Step 4

Top with cold foam: Pour desired amount of cold foam on top and sprinkle with brown sugar crystals.

Step 5

Enjoy!
